1.Godzilla's too fat:

What? No seriously, WHAT? Godzilla looks just fine. It's like you people never once saw a single Godzilla movie in your entire life. Godzilla's supposed to look massive. Besides, remember the GMK Godzilla or the Heisei Godzilla? Remember how thin they were? Of course they weren't.

2. This movie is white-washed:

The movie was originally intended to be set in Japan but following the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear plant meltdown, they decided against it in respect. Also, I don't know if you even understand what "white-washed" means. The movie is not a remake anyways, it's a reboot as in, it's a new story in a new universe. Also, Ken Watanabe called to remind you he's in the film.

3. They Nolanized Godzilla

Um, no they didn't. Godzilla started out dark and gritty in the 1954 film. Hell, that film was an allegory for the horrors of nuclear holocaust witnessed by a country that experienced it first hand and by US AMERICANS NO LESS! There have been only a FEW Godzilla movies that were goofy and made for children, the rest of them are dark, serious and made for adults. You think the new movie's going to be "too dark"? There is a scene in the 1954 film where a mother dies in a hospital right in front of her daughter, another mother who gets burned alive with her children during Godzilla's attack in mainland Tokyo after telling them "We're going to be with Daddy soon", and a boy getting stricken with radiation sickness and the fate of a slow and painful death. That sound "Nolanized" to you?

4. Godzilla's barely in the film:

Yes, from what we've heard, Godzilla's not going to have a lot of scenes. Guess what? Godzilla only had 17 minutes in the 1954 film and that is considered the best film of the franchise. Same goes with Jaws, Alien and Jurassic Park, those movies took maybe an hour to get to the monsters and they're considered classics that still stand the test of time. The best monster movies always take their time in showing the monsters but they build up to it scene-by-scene, allowing the atmosphere and tension to draw you in and THEN they show off the monster when the time is right.
It's not even out yet and there's people complaining already.

I love the movie. Like some, I do feel that Big G needed more of an appearance, but I still loved it! Maybe they'll put a little more of him in the next film.

And I'd like to see the people that call him FAT say that to Big G's face.... snout... whatever.... I don't think he'd like that. XD He is VERY well proportioned, actually, for his size.

Godzilla was a very dark creature in the first original film, killed by the Japanese using an Oxygen destroyer. Later on he became more of a hero than an evil being. True, there was a sense of destruction about him, but, as many fans say, 'he doesn't destroy, things are just in his way.' The MUTOs, I noticed, made quite a bit more damage than he did in this. XD I rather appreciated how Big G walked around most buildings where he could... The MUTOs plowed right through it.

I am deffnitely defending the big guy, cause I'm so very fond of him. He even sits here on my desk as a Bandi Tamashii Nations Godzilla 2014 figure *posable and awesomeable!* Just looking at him makes me happy. (Trust me, you should see the other concept arts they were PLANNING for him X_X They're HIDEOUS!!! I was so happy to learn that this was the one they finally chose.... He looks so much more like what I hoped for.) I was wary of how they'd make him with computer animation, as I still love the costume idea... I felt it wouldn't be the same. I still love many of the old originals, but this movie..... America, we finally honored the King of Kaiju properly. I hope we honored Japan's favorite monster with the appearance we chose.

*ok, I'd better stop my rant now. XD*
